From the Voice of a Number
inspired by the idea of color

When we are born, we are supposedly claimed to know nothing, until taught by the ones around us...
Whether that be brushing our teeth to a 2 minute timer,
Or knowing right from wrong, and that God always ascends higher.
But, some things inside can never be taught, especially when we dive into the idea of the world behind color.
Humans tend to rationalize things best when we break down the facts,
yet the most cultivated concepts, rather tend to be acts.
Beauty around us is consumed by color. In the way we dress, yes! But more by the color on your skin.
Rather than the look you are trying to achieve from within.
It's Twenty - Twenty-one. And yet, the country that used to praise the land of free... Has turned into the place, that no one wants to be.
What happened to "I have a Dream.." and the leaders that BROKE boundaries...
Instead all I see around me are political adjendas,
That try to influence major dilemmas,
Which some how are always thousands and thousands of miles overseas.
But Finally I say on the idea of color,
My PERSONAL opinion, refusing to be a minion.
We ALL deserve more than to be someone's righteous debate topic on our lives, and I stand for the middle class.
A sometimes forgotten group, to a politician's mind.
I am a proud independent woman.
Who came from a small town with a heroine epidemic the size of that huge horse in history that was wooden.
Just remember one thing before you continue to live and judge solely based off color...
People like you never feel fulfilled in their lives.
And will never go on to live a real journey.
But instead, live each and every day stagnant, full of self hatred and fury.
