From the rain to the night
A poem about my first polymerous relationship - and beginning to realize that I'm queer
By Alec BurnsPublished 5 years ago • 1 min read

There is a motion
In the lightning
grass. Give me something to finally fall
asleep where once
was wanting you
to run away from
over terraces
where the fields
dreamt alone and asking.
The rain comes together
makes the dark, your
skin soft, smooth, cold.
Warm again
the lightning grass flips
the rain turns alone and gestures
away the night
flees after the flow
of winds turn us to
drifting
till transparent and balanced.
Look up!
At blank,
white,
air.
