From Me to Her
to the girl who didn't know her strength

I remember the days you almost gave up.
The horrible pain you feel nearly every day.
I remember them vividly.
The day you took that broken glass off the mirror,
put it to your skin.
The day when they told you to die.
I remember it all.
.
But you continue to choose life
even when you feel the worst.
I am beyond proud of you.
There are amazing things ahead of you.
You graduate from high school,
you go to college and meet the love of your life.
College is hard, but you get through it.
You still struggle along the way,
but you heal.
You finally reach peace.
.
These hardships that you are going through now
make you into the amazing person I am today.
Keep fighting, keep choosing to live.
All of those awful habits you have right now
will go away.
Patience and time.
.
I love you so much
and you are doing better than you will ever believe.
I can’t wait for you to embody me,
because you will be proud too.
.
One more thing...
11/2/17—we made it past that,
we are going on 24.
We did it!
You did it!
Thank you.
