Friendships

A poem about friends, or so called friends.

Friendships are like wine

Red, white, it doesn't matter pick your kind

tipsy merlot, dry cabernet

nowadays friendships will lead you astray

Beautiful bottle, 10x a dime

high ABVs, true religion crime

every sip is a spin, every swallow is a slur

every chirp is a burp, every look has a purr

you spilled some on your shirt, and forgot who you were.

Some friends are warm

others cold burr

But like everything in life things come to an end

especially given the toxicity

my gosh those high ABVs

like sweet poison

a habitual fluid, so bad but so good

until you throw away the bottle.

Sounds familiar?
