freedom

By adaiah ★Published 3 years ago Updated 3 years ago 1 min read

perceiving me from your point of view

has poisoned me, and made me weary

i’ve decided to discredit you

you are no longer my judge, nor jury.

i free myself from the weight of your eyes

whether they loathe me or adore me

i am already a diamond

added pressure cannot do much for me.

for too long i’ve tried to control the pen

the one that writes the story of me in your mind

receive me as the hero or villain

i choose to be free and unrefined.
