Free Will Highway

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished 5 months ago 1 min read

[Verse]

You pick the road

It twists it bends

Every turn can break or mend

The sign says stop

But you push through

Choices stick like old tattoos

Your hands are on the wheel

But do you really know what’s real

[Chorus]

Oh free will highway cuts both ways

Light or shadow there's a toll to pay

The good the bad the price is steep

What you sow is what you reap

Oh Free Will highway cuts both ways

[Verse 2]

A whisper says go left not right

The stars look calm but hide the fight

You spin the coin it laughs it falls

Echoes bounce off canyon walls

[Chorus]

Oh free will highway cuts both ways

Light or shadow there's a toll to pay

The good the bad the price is steep

What you sow is what you reap

Oh Free Will highway cuts both ways

[Bridge]

You’re the dealer the cards are yours

But the game don’t care for keeping scores

One move can build one move can break

You can’t undo the steps you take

[Chorus]

Oh free will highway cuts both ways

Light or shadow there's a toll to pay

The good the bad the price is steep

What you sow is what you reap

Oh Free Will highway cuts both ways

.... Cuts both ways
