Framed

Fragments of Truth

By Colleen WaltersPublished 9 months ago Updated 9 months ago 1 min read

He held the mirror with a grip so tight, giving you a full and thorough insight.

Love delivered to you with all his might, now shattered- yet he didn’t give up the fight.

You saw your past self framed deep in the reflection, offering his heart no love or connection.

He did not let you down but gave you protection, you severed his soul with complete and full rejection.

Abandoned in the empty space he created, without the change for which you prayed and waited.

The saving grace is up to you, as the other has led you beyond askew.

Questions arise so this is a clue.

Will you seek solace, or will you say “adieu”?

This was really moving. The mirror imagery hit hard, and the ending left me thinking. It feels personal and honest—really well done.
