1.

Don't knock on trees that:

Shed their leaves in August, please

You won't make it home.

2.

Sticks, twigs, broken beaks

An alchemy of lost signs;

The path is behind.

3.

Steps backwards go blind

When eyes do not watch but call

Follow me, they say

4.

Do not run, or wait

But keep moving with caution.

I cannot save you.

5.

Tight lips hide no lies,

Truth drips like poisoned rain.

Thoughts arrive in screams.

6.

They will not leave.

Black mirrors sing cruel secrets

Twisted, cold as stone.

7.

When the green fog comes

Move like mist in long grass, skip;

It takes no sinners.

8.

Too many tongues speak,

Yet the sharpest words fall mute.

Daggers hide in view.

9.

Clever ones hear dreams.

They bind you with broken oaths,

Promising your fall.

10.

Closer still, yet far

Tuesday wears the weekends grace

Rain drowns the dawn.

11.

Lighthouse and needles

Together yet standing alone

Strangers in the wind

12.

Follow bats and moths

Never look behind your pace

Sprits of none lay.

13.

Witness the shifting,

The path forgets where you came

If you should return.

14.

Fragile heritage.

Albums fray beneath the dust—

Traveller beware.

15.

Behold where you stand.

Pawn, queen, and locksmith summon,

It's your move; begin.
