From the depths of her fractured soul

she cries out to deaf ears

As she slowly loses control

sorrow echos from once she was whole

she's forced to face the worst of her fears

From the depths of her fractured soul

left with a ragged gaping hole

she cries out a mother's prayer

As she slowly loses control

nothing she knows will ever console

the anguish that consumes her within

From the depths of her fractured soul

time waits for no one, alas the bell does toll

the angels have taken her child home, she mourns

From the depths of her fractured soul

As she slowly loses control

sad poetry
