Fractal Actuality

all things break eventually

By BrenPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

parts of my world

are crumbling

into little tiny pieces

parts of my world

stand tall

an edifice of perseverance,

longevity and commitment

parts of my world

scurry from

one dark corner

to another

surreptitiously

parts of my world

hunger and thirst

for the new

and the unknown

parts of my world

conform and obey

simplistically implicit

parts of my world

mutter behind my hand

as they pull a face

that i

will never show you

parts of my world

want to be embraced

while at the same time

want to be left

completely alone

parts of my world

wander aimlessly

in ever

increasing circles

and still

remain rooted

to the very same spot

they started

parts of my world

are just parts

parts that just are

but still...

they're mine

We are all made of duality. Everyone has their bright and dark side, good and bad, positive and negative. Or rather opposite sides, not necessarily good or bad, just contradicting each other. It all depends which side is more influenced, but we can shape it too, thank goodness. Thanks for articulating it in your poem!
