Four Seasons Of Love
Love through the four seasons

In spring, the seed of affection budded and bloomed
Floral ecstasy blossomed, and the April rain perfumed
Reborn and alive in the young love of our growing season
Buzzing with joy and sprouting hope with you as my reason
In summer, the blaze of our heat spread like wildfire
We were scorching as we swam in the ocean of our desire
After every thunderstorm, we recaptured rays of the sun
In the golden days of relaxation, we said, “you’re the one.”
In our autumn, falling leaves of red and gold in our yard
We fought against the rising chill, but it became too hard
In the harvest, we gathered the best and burned the worst
Haunted by collected memories, unaware that we’re cursed
In Winter, I learned nothing grows inside of a frozen heart
Hot cocoa and crackling fires won’t melt us into a restart
Falling snow, beautiful but freezing, keeps on coming down
Hibernating inside myself, praying for spring to come around
