I suggest

you shut your mouth

before you find it gaping.

//

Yet before

you opened it

I learned your heart was breaking.

//

I suggest

you close your eyes

keep seeing what you want to.

//

Bliss is found

in ignorance

or kneeling on a church pew.

//

I suggest

for both of us

we leave this one stone unturned

//

I don’t think

we’ll like it if

truth in this matter is learned.

//

I suggest

you walk away

and go to bed in anger.

//

Truth is kind,

and truth is pain,

and lies have been our anchor.
