Society in obsessive compulsive dating habits - a poem for those glued to devices profiting from loneliness
Sigh**
Open.
Just one touch to open.
Hoping.
Will I see something new…
Quickly.
Just one more.
Searching.
Yes!!
There you are. So relieved. What is this feeling?
I cant believe you're here.
Gazing.
Cherishing.
Losing track of time…
Lost in your eyes.
Anxiety.
Lonely.
So… so alone suddenly.
And then I see you everyday and wonder what if.
Looking through your lense and seeing something incredibly beautiful on the other side.
A shot taken.
A shot I want to take...
Simple moments when you see a face and find yourself falling in love with it.
Loves a strong word.
Seeing that face makes you want to be closer to it.
As if pressing my retinas in the screen could do.
Maybe....
No.
Just a minute more to stare...
Zooming in by spreading my fingers open.
Wishing that this 1 moment of touch could be transferred to the real you...
A face I wish I knew.
Albums in front of me.
* gazing longingly at what I've only seen in short blips of time.
Scrolling.
Stopping.
Scrolling.
Wanting.
I stopped way to long on your pictures....
Im the spider in the corner of the screen, hoping to not be swiped away.
I strung this out to long.
Weaving a mess of words.
Do I send them?.... Its to…
To random. To sudden.
Waiting.
Watching.
Wishing.
Memories I now share, I didn't create.
Moments I love and was never a part of.
Missing someone I don't even know.
Now I'm stuck in your web.
Having the life drained from me by the net.
You're in it. And im almost happy to be in it with you...
But you got out.
I watch the husk of where you were, deteriorate in the pages.
Scrolling.
Stopping.
Scrolling.
Giving up.
Sigh*
