A predators eyes face forward

So that he can track his prey

With smoke in the air

And snow on his mane

The shadow cast from a fire made

By a predator aged

But forward his eyes faced

The youthful predator

Had found the older one

Both knowing who already won

The older predator

With his forward facing eyes

One going blind

Motions to the young predator

To sit for a time

And warm himself by the fire

The young predator consents

To the old predators gift

The older predator lowers his head and speaks

Kid what your doing is nothing new to me

But please

Give thought to my eulogy

And with a raspy voice

The old predator begins to end his story

I am

An old man

With no name

Ever since my birth forward my eyes have faced

I know only pain

Without shame

And after today

We shall be the same

You shall thirst for unknown roads

Hunger for souls

Whos eyes

Look to all sides

For yours in the dark

Knowing

But still unaware

That your forward facing eyes stare

Waiting for them to blink

So you can eat

Just like me

So remember this night

Because there are more

Than four

Forward facing eyes

When yours stray like mine

Say your peace in time

And i'll see you again

Until then

Goodbye

The young predator with forward facing eyes

Dropped the hammer covered in blood

And left the scene of the hunt

Dissatisfied

Looking for another one
