I wrote this poem as a tribute to men who take refuge in drugs as a aid to their emotional turbulence. Sometimes it becomes one way road and many families get lost in the chaos. I write 📝 for the sake of getting things off my heart.
They died too soon
They left their kids behind
They left their fathers day gifts behind
They are now forgotten fathers
Lives wasted on nothing
Wasted on drugs
That man was a good man
Hard working loving smart man
Drowned in alcohol, he was ran over by a truck like a ball.
Flying pieces of glasses and his kids lives , Now they don’t matter at all
Wasted on recklessness
That man was a good man well educated civil man
Addicted to alcohol, hung himself to cut loose.
Men is synonym of capability,he was told.
Wasted on drugs
He also died too soon
He left his kids behind
But He numbed his never ending unbearable pain
Couldn't see family bearing his shame
They were fathers too before they were forgotten.
