I'm sorry, anger isn't my choice, but...

Forgive my rage, please—

But...

Is this what it means?...

to be set apart‐

tell me I'm wrong, please...

There are more differences than I could ever hope to count,

across greater distances than I could ever think to measure...

overwhelmed by more feelings than I even knew existed,

like such a feeling that says fitting in just fruitless hope I should've never

believed in...

There are more unanswered questions than I could ever care enough to

ask...

all of which are trapped in a puzzle with fewer matching pieces than I care

enough to try‐

but apparently,

I do care enough to cry...

and ask repeatedly,

"what the hell is wrong with me?..."

Not one more time can I say, "such is life..."

and I'm sorry for the one of my many feelings that says,

"I'm done with this life..."

Forgive my rage, please—

I'm sorry that this is me...

I'm not saying I'm right,

this is just all I've ever known...

looking for a home

and almost angry at whom I've grown to be...

The mirror's not broken, but the man who stands in it

and he's asking, "am I even one that can be fixed?..."

The only piece that doesn't fit‐

and I can only wish to be able to explain it...

Thank you for reading! Here are some other stories that capture the same emotions and struggle with my experience with ADHD. It's important that I note, it is different for everyone, what I've written doesn't fully capture all of what ADHD is. Remember, you are NOT alone!!! :)

About the Creator

Josh Morgan

Personally, writing began as a creative outlet, to be a means of processing and venting emotion, but it has become so much more. Something I want not to be just relatable, enjoyable and a good read, but to reach someone who is in need.
