Forgive My Impatience

I've grown quite sick, from waiting...

Forgive my impatience, please—

This music I feel forced to face...

I've come to distaste life's playlist,

and greatly‐

Every morning, another broken record is played for me...

I do appreciate all that pray for me,

and greatly‐

but quite a shame it's come to be that by the day I still wait for Mr. Grim to come for me.

What, will those who pray have to say...

if I were to go to him?...

Forgive my impatience, please—

Oh Mr. Grim?

Are you, or I, or we...

waiting for something, or anything?...

No?...

Nothing at all?

Well then...

can we leave?

If there is in fact no sense in delaying our, or my, departure...

then why must we, or you, do such a thing?

I'm growing tired of waiting,

and greatly‐

Forgive my impatience, please—

About the Creator

Josh Morgan

Personally, writing began as a creative outlet, to be a means of processing and venting emotion, but it has become so much more. Something I want not to be just relatable, enjoyable and a good read, but to reach someone who is in need.
