A weight lifted off, a heart set free
A choice to release, the chains that bind me
To let go of pain, and the hurt of the past
And find peace at last, in forgiveness that lasts
It's not forgetting, the wrongs that were done
But rising above, and having fun
In the freedom of forgiveness, we find our strength
And a heart that's full, of love and length
Forgiveness is key, to a life that's new
A chance to start over, with a heart that's true
So let us forgive, and move forward with grace
And find the peace, that's found in forgiveness' embrace.
