Forbidden Fruits

a poem inspired by love and romance

forbidden fruits by Solomon

Oh, the forbidden fruit, so tempting and sweet,

A fruit that we know we shouldn’t eat.

Its luscious skin, so red and bright,

A fruit that’s hidden from our sight.

We’re warned of its danger, its poisonous taste,

But still, we crave it, we can’t resist its grace.

It’s the fruit that’s forbidden, the one we desire,

A fruit that sets our hearts on fire.

We sneak around, trying not to be seen,

Hoping no one will know where we’ve been.

We take a bite, and it’s pure bliss,

A taste that we can’t help but miss.

But soon, the consequences come to light,

Our bodies writhing in pain, we know it’s not right.

The forbidden fruit, so alluring and sweet,

Has left us with nothing but defeat.

So let this be a lesson, a warning to all,

That the forbidden fruit will make us fall.

It may seem tempting, but it’s not worth the cost,

For the price we pay is far too high, and all is lost.
