For You

Anything for You

By Sema’Jay HallPublished 7 years ago 1 min read

For you

I took the Initiative and put myself in the line

For you

While my stomachs turning and my minds scattered, I let my farewells come early

For you.

I plan things out far in advance, just as you do when you play chess. On the couch for hours and I could watch for days. Years.

I’d do anything for you.

I’ll hang off the side of the moon

Burst into flames, if you ever need a light

I’d do it all, for you

No one else but you

Remember how we used to party all night

I wouldn’t leave your side until you needed me to, wanted me to

doesn’t it all finally make sense?

Did it always make sense?

That it all is for you

My ride or die. My religion

You broke into my chest one day and put a key over my heart. I tried and I tried to locksmith it but they all failed

You probably forgot that you have that key but I never brought it up, for you. Until now.

I know you have much to do. Lots going on and I’m here, your lap dog who doesn’t even know if he’s allowed on your lap

Enticingly changing myself from and angel to a monster just for you.

I hope you don’t think of my as a monster after this. I hope,

But if you like that, I’d do that.

For you
