For Tippy.

Trigger warning.

*Extreme trigger warning, animal murder. Do not read further if that bothers you.*

You had green feathers and you were so small.

Fitting in the palm of my hand.

I knew you as Tippy.

Trying not to flinch as you walked on me.

You were so helpless.

Flying around our house.

You didn't like men.

But that was okay.

We were mostly a girl home.

Just a green little bird.

They left for the weekend.

And then you were gone.

He killed you.

Because you bit him on his back.

Ripping you off him.

Scaring the small bird into a corner.

Hitting you repeatedly with a dog bowl.

We were both so little and helpless.

I screamed and cried as you died.

Watching your tiny eyes close for good.

Your green feathers so small.

Rabbit

I see the world a little differently than most. Even at a young age I was writing down what I saw but never sharing it with a soul until now. I'm choosing love over fear.
