For so many years I’ve loved you now
Loved watching you grow up
But I don’t see how
You have had enough
*
What did I do to deserve
This punishment that you’ve laid out
I’m not here to serve
Your anger or your doubts
*
Just because I’m your mother
You expect me to take abuse
But sometimes I wonder
Really, what is the use?
*
I love you still
I always will
But please be kind to yourself
Into your heart you must delve
*
I hope you still think
Of all the great times we had
If even for a blink
I hope you’re still not mad
*
I love you darling!
