For All Eternity
I will hold you in my hands
not like a shadow slipping by
but like a steady flame burning slow
never asking for the sun
You are the pulse beneath my skin
the quiet in the noise around me
no need for diamonds or gold
just your breath beside my own
Time may run its endless course
and stars may fall without a sound
but here, in this place between moments
I stay, with you, unshaken
For all eternity means nothing
without the weight of your touch
so let me keep you close and true
hold you till the world forgets to turn

I've been writing poetry since the age of fourteen. With pen in hand, I wander through realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals hidden thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture your mind❤️

What a lovely commitment.
Very well done Marie.
I kind of thing having a loved one's embrace, even the biggest tragedy would feel small.
Love is supposed to be eternal in many or maybe all respects and aspects. Good job.
