Wind, air, time and tide

Erode our footsteps in time

Still we march! Strong, proud!!!!!!!!!

I left my footprint

Firmly planted upon earth

Wind raged. It moved not!!!!!!!!

Water-kissed footsteps

Gently fade in space and time

Carve your footprints deep!!!!!!!!

Footsteps seared in pain

Bodies writhe in agony

Fire....have mercy!!!!!!!!!

Very moving and beautifully written! Loved that the haiku structure did not keep this from flowing so well :)

  • Very good and meaningful. It's amazing how so few words can be filled with so much depth.
