Gardening is to believe in tomorrow
Maternal wisdom alive in memories
Freckled hands pick from fields of common yarrow
Arranging bouquets of Spring flora with ease
Amorous stems embracing the breeze with bold color
Spray blooms folding into a scene of bouncing summits
Surveying bees on the elastic stage of summer
Adding drama to the leaps of honeyed artifexs
The floral theatres we sow are as tall as the roots they grow
And the garden lovingly draped in dawns light will grow greener
While garden stems thicken from dancing to the west wind’s blow
And bees are humming Larkspur’s blue has never looked keener
Wise words true regardless of beauty harvested today
Flowers tended with love will color tomorrow’s bouquet
