Flowers And Band-Aids

The Season Of Healing

By Kelli Sheckler-AmsdenPublished about a year ago 1 min read

She keeps her feelings locked inside her, has mastered the art of sad. Fear

Instilled a sense of guarding, her mistakes made her go mad. She

Let go of hope denying, how she let it get this bad. Still

Enchanted by the thought that dreams are wishes she could have

Now she lingers in the memories, shadowlands of, might have beens

Covers her heart with anger, masked in shades of porcelain. Trying to outrun who she's become and

Even up the score. Befriending the image in her mirror and the scars she wears, from him

This was lovely and brilliantly written. The line: 'Covers her heart with anger, masked in shades of porcelain.' It's French chefs kiss perfect!
