To loose the chains of an addiction,
Or to find your identity in action or emotion,
Is the struggle of this soul.
What is most important to you?
What is your purpose,
The cards you were dealt, are they good?
Because there is nothing more satisfying
Than to see a soul take the agonising pain that they were dealt
And turn it into beauty.
The beauty that inspires,
And the beauty that takes those roots and grows.
It flourishes up and out,
To create an umbrella to shade and protect
The younger to grow.
What is most important to you?
What is it that you have been dealt,
That if you knew, could change the course of lives, or,
Just a single life?

There was a light in the corner of the room. I could still smell the lingering odor of the cologne sprayed for the last time months ago. The wooden panelled wall created an illusion in this ten by ten foot bedroom. An illusion of memories collaborating together all at once.

Lately, I'm empty
Lately, I feel an emptiness inside of me that doesn’t make any sense. I was fine a week ago and now I’m numb to the pain that I’ve been carrying around. Numb to the idea of me existing. I wish I could go to a place where I can hear happy positive thoughts and surround myself with joy. The medication I’m on doesn’t seem to work anymore. I still feel pain from existing, why am I here anyways? Merely to exist. I don’t feel like I’m making any differences being here.
