Flower Therapy

Take time to admire them

By Seema PatelPublished 10 months ago 1 min read
@Seema

We all need therapy

For life is tough.

The journey can take its toll.

Our soul needs balm.

Flowers are perfect

for healing the bruises.

I remember

sitting on a rock,

watching the lilies

in a koi pond.

It was meditative—

serenity enveloped me.

Or the summer memory

of watching the purple canopy

of jacaranda trees,

feeling gratitude for living.

Fallen flowers carpeted

the lawn below,

as hummingbirds and orioles

rested on the boughs.

@Seema

The butter-hued

southern magnolia—

striking against

dark green leaves,

surrounded by bees

and June bugs.

was spectacular!

@Seema

Flowers are joys

for our stressed hearts.

Pause and admire them—

it's self-care.
