Flower & The Bee

Two lovers never meant to be.

By Dyce4LyfePublished 5 years ago 1 min read
I wrote this poem when I found love, real love. A flower to love a bee type of love.

I want to tell you a story

About a flower and a bee,

Two very simple things,

Simple as just you and me

The flower just waits

For its nectar to be grabbed,

But so many hummingbirds ruined her

Which made her petals sad

Those petals started falling,

Her colors would appear frail,

It may be no hope or future

For this little daffodil

Until she spotted movement,

Buzzing in the highest tree

With a yellow and black tuxedo

Descended the nicest honey bee

He looked beyond her flaws,

Her petals low; about to die,

But he landed on her sweetly

'Cause this flower caught his eye

And deep inside his heart,

He knew his love would make things better ,

And he wanted to prove to her

That he wanted her, not just her nectar

It doesn't take the smartest genius

Or any prophet to see what's true ,

That the flower in the poem

I'm referring to is you,

Every man before I came

Was a hummingbird indeed,

They came, but what they really did

Was make it hard to love a bee .
