Flower

A Poem

By Kaspar BellPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

One day,

When the earth

Is cold and grey.

And there are no more humans left

To do it their way.

A lone flower

Will bloom

Showing it’s power

For all those who never knew

How much beauty

The world used to hold.

Acting like that’s it’s duty

To create a bountiful mold

For all of life to grow.

But eventually that flower will die.

I’m the Earth,

Slowly rotting away.

I thought I lost my worth,

Until you helped me regain it that day.

You are the flower,

Igniting growth in my life.

Sent here to devour

Even the hardest of strife.

I thought that was it.

The end of the pain.

I wasn’t right one bit.

You are just like the others

Almost exactly the same.

I gave you my all

And in return,

You gave all of you

To him.

No one tells you

That the ones you love the most

Are also the ones

That when they hurt you,

The pain level is a ten.
