Flood

A relentless monster

Are you ready for me,

because here I come?

Soon everywhere I will be.

There is nowhere you can run.

Higher and higher I rise,

drowning all in my path.

So, if you are wise,

you’ll avoid my wrath.

When I come rushing into your room,

you should run in fear.

How many people meet their doom?

How many do I kill each year?

If in your attic you have hid,

trying to escape me.

Will your life be what you give?

There is nowhere you can flee.

Will you need a boat,

as with me you fight?

On what fragile thing will you float,

as you try and save your life?
