Flaws and All

You're always late - why won't you learn?

You drive too fast, don't signal to turn.

You brag a lot - you're way too proud.

You slurp your soup and chew too loud.

*

But even with your many quirks,

With you and I, our friendship works.

'Cause I love you, and you love me.

I'm yours, and you're my V.I.P.

*

You crack your knuckles and will not stop.

You smack your gum and make it pop.

You stand too close to others in line.

When you lose a game, you always whine.

*

But I am yours, and you are mine.

We suit each other well and fine.

And even though you often snore,

I know, my love, my flaws are more.
