Flawed
embrace the flaws in life as we ourselves are flawed

We live in a world that is flawed as we ourselves are flawed
As flawed as that one wisp of hair that never stays in place
or a hairstyle so meticulously set only to be undone by the wind
A world where perfection has no place
Like an overgrown garden, neglected over time
many see a tangled mess of weeds,
an ugly inconvenience
while others see not just a mess
but a beautiful explosion of colors among the greens
golden dandelions, purple thistles, and white clovers
as if they were placed there by the brush strokes of a mad artist
Many see a frustrating mess that can't be eradicated
while others see inspiration and resilience
the thistles and dandelions growing in some of the impossible of places
yanked out, mowed down, trampled on yet always coming back
As flawed as that single typo in the middle of page 12
sneaking past every eye that has searched for it
that you start to wonder maybe it magically appeared
We spend our time fixing flaws but which is worse?
Chasing life for perfect circles, lawns weed free, mugs and vases crack free
perfection that will never be achieved
or a glaring flaw that never goes away but stands out for all to see
a reminder to embrace the flaws in life
As we ourselves are flawed

I love this! I have to keep reminding myself to not worry about all of my flaws and to celebrate who I am.
I stopped chasing perfection long time ago and just let life live itself, less stress, still we have to chase something personal, each is a different dream. Well said.
