The first love

A spark that dances in the chest,

A secret whispered, long confessed,

A glance that lingers, shy and sweet,

Where innocence and wonder meet.

The heart, unsure but bold with hope,

Tangles in dreams, a golden rope,

Each breath a flutter, light as air,

As if the world could feel the care.

Awkward touches, trembling hands,

Building castles in the sands,

A fleeting kiss, a stolen touch,

How could a moment mean so much?

Yet time moves on, and hearts grow wise,

But in the depth of olden skies,

First love remains, a gentle glow,

The seed from which all others grow.
