First Footsteps on the Moon
What a historic event

First Footsteps on the Moon
A rocket soared through the sky so bright,
Towards the stars, into the night.
With courage strong and hearts so bold,
A dream of ages now unfolds.
The moon was still, a world unknown,
Until one day, a man was shown.
He stepped upon its dusty ground,
And left his mark—no sound, no sound.
“That’s one small step,” his voice did say,
For mankind’s hope, a brighter day.
The Earth below, so far, so blue,
A miracle that felt so true.
A first for all, this giant leap,
A memory the world will keep.
For on that moon, so cold and gray,
The dream of all took flight that day.

Oh this was lovely. Very upbeat, I love the flow also your repetition of ‘no sound no sound’ your poem really brought that day back down to earth so that we too can experience what that man felt and saw again. We must all never forget that day, thank you for being a lovely reminder.
I have never read a poem about the first steps on the moon, and you did a a beautiful job capturing the awe of this incredible event.
