Fireflies

dreams and black holes, they sweep us in.

Bring me where you are, let us walk the grasses of minds unlike our own--to venture into galaxies, because people too remind me of stars.

Let us dance by the weeping willows singing, and laughing, let us hold hands around the branches and intertwine ourselves as delicate leaves.

Bring me where you are, touch me lightly as the mist dews over the earth. Let us pretend to be waves, let’s crash as tides do. Bring me where you are, and let me show you what I see, and when I look into your mellow heart, let your darkness die in me.

Take me to where you sleep, and I vow to stay up all night as I imagine what you dream. Bring me where you are, take me to where you will be.

About the Creator

Tiyah Baht Yahweh

Through writing I'm able to release myself from mental hurdles, while also remaining graceful in the paintings I create in my mind through poetry and stories. I hope you enjoy my little journey. xx
