Resilient.

Each day, she walks.

Morning sky hidden beneath fog

Stiff cold wind blows

Cows, content to lie.

And somewhere

She is out there with the cows

and the fog

walking.

Resilient to the weather, her body only knows one thing

Go out and walk.

The road and routine carry her as time passes, hours before

she arrives at her home

feeling good and alive that she has accomplished one more day.

For all she knows is routine, which sustains her

and at the same time keeps her safe.

For it's all about control.

Control over life that cannot be in control of.

Life

happens

regardless of routine.

About the Creator

Shannon Lemire

Writing is a part of who I am.

I go back and forth between handwritten lengthy journaling and sitting here glued to my laptop.

As inspiration hits, I write and follow the intuitive nudge.

You'll see many sides of me here.

I hope you enjoy.
