9.

The fire trucks finally start rolling in. Sirens screaming through the campsite. They bring the hoses out and start spraying down the fire. And about 2 minutes later, we all hear a loud boom. The other two rangers come up the stairs and inform us about the bear.

"It took a fight but we neutralized the bear."

"Thank you all so much."

We go back to what remains of our campsite and see if there is anything to salvage. Luckily, our backpacks were still in tact. The rangers politely suggested we stay in their guest quarters for the night.
