Fire Burns

How many times have you been burned?

By Skyler SaundersPublished 3 years ago Updated 2 years ago 1 min read

The secret sting

Of the candle

Or burning

Of the heated handle

All contribute to the flame.

Each gets heated.

If your chair is metal it’s the same

If the sun warms it and you're seated.

The bite of the hot

Kettle that blows steam

Is like the pot

That boils by streams.

The amount of the strong nerves

That let me know of the agitation

Also tell of something that serves

To defeat the mini conflagration.

This is a camp outing, bring me the balm.

I’ve burned my hand again,

Look at the redness of my palm.

Stop fire burns and let the healing begin.
