acrostic essay

Fire Ants (pexels.com)

Furious fire ants

intriguing to watch, but not too close

regarding that if bit, quite the itch that will

encroach on you momentarily

amounting to what looks like pimples, but do not pop

noticing that they work in a gang of furiousness building their hills in no

time from small to very large, blink and you may step in one causing

severe itch for you have destroyed their home.

Fiercely minute yet unforgettable—this acrostic haiku summons unease in beauty. You made the sting feel all too real.
