looking to the hills you see your potential
as newfound sun heats up your skin
it's been a long journey
but you couldn't have done it alone
the last eighty-so years have splashed into eternity
it's all history:
commemorated and finished
memories, both good and bad, flood your cells
no longer does the scary frighten you
no longer does the happy distract you
it's all history:
commemorated and finished
you are free and unchained
no longer bound by what others say
you're a new person
with new plans, missions, and goals
leaving everything behind
you find yourself inside
leaving everything behind
you find yourself inside
you don't have to carry that heavy bag anymore
shoulders shouldn't ever carry that kind of weight
but all that's history:
commemorated and finished
About the Creator

I love all things writing...though I am particularly biased towards good, vulnerable poetry. I love pouring my heart on a page with every piece I write. Life is for expressing, not containing.
