Finish Line
Photo by Oscar Söderlund on Unsplash

Petrichor consumes my nostrils as drops of rain

Soak through clothes to the skin of my weak limbs

Mixed with sweat and tears, a salty aftertaste as if I am melting

A journey so long to be heard for who I am and want to be

Holding tight to the vision of a yellow line as some sort of destiny
