Finding Yourself in a Sunset
Looking to the sky for answers
By Rachel MoorePublished 5 years ago • 1 min read

You chased the sunset
Looking to the sky for answers
What made you think there were any?
Questions stand still in time.
You sat and watched
The sun freshly squeezed before your eyes
Dazzling yellows burning like ancient ochre
A Bengal tiger, russets of clementine, warm cinnamon
Surrounded by a sea of dusky pinks dancing like rosebuds
Sweet lavender swaying into the clouds
Scarlet sin rosier than a lover’s secret
Ra revealed himself, herself
Innocent in their beauty
Hot and fierce to the touch
You found yourself inside the rainbow sunset
Every emotion burned into the horizon
Melting to become one.
