Find My Bones

My bones were strong, secured

in scaled skin. Now you find them

underneath your frail feet along

the ground of Lyme Regis.

Watching from afar, in my eternal

immortality and evolution, I see

you struggle. Attempting to locate

the person you want or need to be.

With each wave that washes over you,

you ask it to cleanse you of your past.

Of your hurt and your grief. To be

freed and brought back home.

I can see, you are lost at sea. It would

seem there is no place for your feet

to land. My sisters and I, we roamed and ran

and roared. How my brothers soared.

Things were simple. We lived until we were

no more. Our toes did not tip, we marched as we

explored. The world was ours. Find my

bones, heal your own. Do you not know?

This world is now yours.
