Final Farewells

Continually Changing

I felt the ache coming, blowing up chills

like a deep dark and lonely, cold wind

I can still hear the whooshing of it on my sill

the hard passing of a old friend

****

You slipped away, without a goodbye

leaving my heart and soul behind, in tatters

I never even had the chance to cry

Pushing the past back now, is all that matters

****

Autumn seems fitting to let live and let die

Life goes on, and the seasons, a teacher

As the sun and the moon, kiss each other goodnight

Rebirth and love, never too far from reach

nature poetry
