Fighting A Losing Battle

Part 1: The struggle within

By kimberley ashtonPublished 5 years ago 1 min read
To anyone who has ever lost someone or anyone deep into the demonic world of drugs. There is hope you just have to FIGHT!

I destroy homes, I tear families apart

I take your children, and that’s just where I start

I’m more costly than diamonds, more costly than gold; the sorrow and madness is a sight to behold.

If you need me, remember I’m easily found

I live all around you, in schools and in town.

I live with the rich, I live with the poor, I live down the street, and possibly next door

My power is great; try me, you will see

But if you do, you may never break free.

Just try me once and I might let go, but try me twice and ill own your soul

When I possess you; you will steal and lie

You will do what you have to just to get high

The crimes you will commit, for my narcotic charms, will be worth the pleasure you will feel in your arms all the way to your toes

You will lie to your mother; you will steal from dad

When you see their fears, their tears; you should feel sad

Forgetting your morals and how you were raised.

Ill be your conscience; ill teach you my ways.
