Fight The Fight

The Battle Cry

Fight The Fight

What story does your life tell others?

Did you fight the fight or hide under covers?

Were you the comrade to those in need,

Or wilt in the battle not helping to succeed?

It’s a question we must ask ourselves,

As life’s shadows make us stand by oneself.

Our life, no matter the wars that we faced,

Was meant to be shared it’s no disgrace?

Did we stand shoulder to shoulder gallantly,

Or stand by the sidelines cowardly?

Our purpose was to help as we could,

Doing things needed, things that we should.

Did we shout, beat upon our chest,

As we moved forward never to regress?

For to have fought a good fight was our goal,

To stand for what’s right to save some lost soul.

And now that we’re at the battle’s end,

Scared and injured with few remaining friends,

Let us raise the anthem before the crowds,

Rejoicing in victories that made us proud.
