A finger scratches on a guitar string and abruptly I remember
how the sunlight unzipped your peridot eyes under dappled summer leaves
the calluses under your fingers under mine the
French vanilla coffee I drank to impress you just in case I kissed you
and the hot black asphalt we wore that summer as perfume.

The last line is a stunner Ava, and this feels both nostalgic and real. Ironically, I just finished reading "Sweet Sorrow" by David Nicholls, and it hits the same notes of young love in summertime. Congrats on taking the challenge out!
