Festive VerseHoliday Cheer

Deck the Norway Spruce with frosted baubles, as they catch the lights;

Our minds fixed on festivity when the carols sing low;

What a white world outside, snow flake mid flight;

Hot chocolate in hand where the marshmallows float.

There are times near the screen where we live through someone’s eyes,

A lesson in disguise willing us to be the best we can;

We fall in love with time and the gifts we want to buy;

Our tongue relates to taste, and in our minds, our speech, gives pran.

The eggnog: the turkey, the tasty Christmas pudding!

The sweat: the tears, the rush to make things perfect;

But in times of gaiety, poinsettia blush in painting;

A weather that forms its beauty, green to red, there’s no light so we reflect.

Give back to the beauty of the changing season,

Gifts and cheer never looked for a reason.
