Became one with the fog,

The sky feels near.

Accumulate tears in frosted layer,

Dim lights at dawn;

Earths chilling stare.

*

Nature comes alive, through the dreamy sphere,

Hunting leaves bejewelled with ice;

Witness beauty through heavens eyes,

Frost bite stings the leafless giant.

*

An hour of quiet the world stands still,

Dreaming of snow and frostbite sting.

The fresh breeze bring a wakeful thrill,

Now winter comes, the earth will sing;

**

The tune of angels… ding.

**

Summer afar, brings dusted stars,

A twinkle reflected when light hits all;

A time to wish,

A time to stall,

A time to fill;

Your stockings…with winters chill.

    This is a lovely entry to the Frosted challenge, Caitlin. Of the many wonderful lines my favorites were The sky feels near and your exquisite build to your finale - A time to wish, A time to stall, A time to fill. Reminds me of one my favorite passages in Ecclesiastes that begins To every thing there is a season…. A time to be born, a time to die (etc).

    Whoaa! Caitlin Your poem is absolutely beautiful—it captures the quiet magic of winter in such a vivid, almost enchanting way. The lines about the frosted leaves and the “tune of angels” bring out both the beauty and chill of the season perfectly. It’s like a gentle invitation to feel winter’s mystery and calm, and it left me feeling truly connected to that quiet, dreamy winter morning they describe.❄️❤️
